Knox Music Institute

The KMI was phase 2 renovation to the historic Miller Theater. This project involved renovating the Second and Third Floors of 710 Broad Street to create a Recital space for the Symphony Orchestra of Augusta and Offices for Miller Theater Staff. The renovation involved significant structural design because the Third Floor trusses and a portion of the floor had to be removed in order to create the double-height space. Careful consideration was taken to respect the historic character of the building and mesh the design with the rest of the renovated facility.
